Dr. Shannon Kozlovich has built a career addressing the social and political determinants of LGBTQI+ health equity. Data Equity IS Health Equity! She is a community engaged research scientist specializing in the impact of nicotine on cancer treatments, how menthol increases the health impact of tobacco use, the metabolism of the most potent cancer-causing compound in tobacco, and the impact of tobacco use and cancer within LGBTQI+ communities. As a queer woman, a mother, a scientist, and an LGBTQI+ activist Shannon strives to create a world that embraces equity.

Chief Operating Officer

Dr. Priyanka Bushana is a neuroscientist and database expert who has built a career at the intersection of science and labor policy. Priyanka's passion for sleep justice and labor policy drives her belief that rest is a basic human right. She advocates for systemic changes that ensure everyone has the opportunity to rest, fostering well-being, productivity, and a more equitable society. Priyanka has a background in information technology and science policy and communication. She enjoys applying her interdisciplinary knowledge and experience to solve complex problems and create positive change.

Social Media Manager & Strategist

Katy is a writer, comedian, and social media strategist. A lifelong Angeleno, Katy has planned events at California State University, Northridge, the UCLA Extension Writers’ Program, and for the civic engagement nonprofit Future of California Elections. Her expertise includes print and digital marketing, student advising, and collaborating with stakeholders across multiple organizations. She has worked with, among many others, Senator Alex Padilla, author Francesca Lia Block, and the ACLU. She lives in Highland Park where she enjoys people watching in coffee shops while she writes her newsletter Lonely Angeleno.
